Janae arrived a while after her mother and brothers Dylan and Stingray did. She arrived on a bus with her younger sister Bree but was kicked of due to being to loud. When Bree and her finally arrived in Ramsay Street the Timmons family was at large. She moved in with her family into Lyn Scully's house. Lyn kicked them out though, but then let them move back in. In 2005 Janae found out that her brother had been "Killed" in the plane crash but was happy when he later returned. She has dated a few cast. She dated Mike, a scumbag who she later found out had a STI but luckily not given to her. She also was nearly taken in by Chris Cousins (like Serena) but her family stopped her. She was engaged to Boyd Hoyland even though her parents didn't want her to get married.
She found out that Bree Timmons is not her biological daughter and forced her parent to tell. She is also upset since her father Kym left her Mum at the alter after nearly being arrested for taking part in an illegal DVD business.
Overall she is a happy, bossy character who has to get her own way.

The wedding went ahead despite a legal technicality. They didn't want their parents there but Bree invited them anyway.
Boyd's father Max saw her with another man and thought she was having an affair but she was innocently looking for houses with a real estate agent. They choose to flat instead and she made money for a while by putting embarrassing footage of the flat mates on the web until she had the same done to her. She then got a job as a cleaner at the hospital and Boyd tried to get her fired by acting saucy with her at work.
She got suspended from school after she paid somebody else to do her homework for her.
