Sky Mangel

Sky Mangel (played by Stephanie Mcintosh)
Sky is an art student at university; she lives at number 24 with her granddad. Her mother was the late Kerry Bishop, her dad is Eric Jensen. She was brought up by her step-dad Joe Mangel she has a stepbrother Toby and her granddad Harold she also had the late David and Lil Bishop as her uncle and aunt and Serena was her cousin.
When Sky first came to Ramsay street to live with her granddad Harold she didn’t fit in at all she had been brought up in a secluded area where she hardly ever socialised she had blue streaks in her hair and was very eccentric to say the least. She formed a friendship with local boy Boyd Hoyland who tried to get her through school without too much trouble but even he couldn’t protect her from her sworn enemy popular girl Erin who got the better of Sky on the night of the school prom by pushing over the portable toilet that Sky was in this was probably one of the better things to happen to Sky though as this was a turning point in her relationship with Boyd and we since have watched her grow into a normal teenager going through everyday problems. When Serena moved in with her and Harold (and David and Lil) they didn’t get on as Sky just saw her a sheltered little princess but then they grew to be more like sisters than cousins Serena and Boyd supported her when she came face to face with the man who killed her mother.
No one was more confused than Sky when new girl Lana started at her school and she couldn’t quite work out what her feelings were for her and this led to her and Boyd splitting up for a little while but they were just best friend that shared a love for being eccentric and designing comic books – Sky was devastated when Lana moved away to Canada after not long knowing her.
Boyd developed a brain tumour and it was life and death for some time so you can imagine her heart break when he recovered and confessed that he had had a brief relationship with Serena. Sky vowed to not forgive either of them and her and Boyd finished for good after she shared a brief kiss with Dylan Timmins. Eventually she did forgive both of them although Boyd was now to be no more than a good friend and she found romance with bad boy Dylan.
As if Sky hadn’t seen enough heartbreak in her life but she was on a joy flight organised by Paul Robinson with David, Lil, Serena and Dylan when it crashed Lil, David and Serena were killed and Dylan was missing presumed dead Sky survived and tried to pick up the pieces for herself and Harold until Dylan turned up at his own memorial service he had faked his death instead of going to jail – which he did so she had something new to deal with.
Things are starting to look up now though Dylan has been freed from prison and she has just started studying art at university.
