Susan is unable to use Katya's dark past against her. Steph's future is in the lap of the Gods as she undergoes surgery.

Hospital
Max, Steph and Charlie have a cuddle and Max and Steph are debating whose features he has. Lynn enters and is overwhelmed at the sight of her new grand child she tells Steph (and Max) how well they have both done. Lynn starts crying but Steph tells her that she doesn't want any tears.
Janae, Bree Summer and Boyd enter against Karl's orders but Steph lets them stay.

General store
Zeke is about to open his birthday presents but thinks they should wait for Susan but Rachel thinks she has forgot Katya says that Susan couldn't predict when Steph would have the baby. Rachel then talks about how their mom always used to say that Zeke took the longest to be born and Katya tell she story of the night that Zeke was born.

Hospital
Summer is admiring her new baby brother but Steph wants to hear all about Summers illness but Summer says it is not important it was last week. Boyd greets his new brother and Janae makes a comment that she doesn't know how she would choose a name, Max and Boyd exchange a worried glance.
Toadie enters and congratulates Max and Steph and tells Susan it is time to leave as the family court waits for no one. Everyone wishes Susan good luck and she leaves. Karl asks Max for a word outside.

General store
Katya explains to Zeke and Rachel what will happen today Rachel, Zeke, Susan and Katya will all be interviewed on their own then Susan with the kids and Katya with the kids. She says how important it all is but tells them to just be honest and she will love them no matter what happens. She also tells them that at times like this things come out but tend to get exaggerated.

Hospital
Lynn is cuddling Charlie, Bree walks out followed by Summer and they talk about Rachel.
Janae is saying how cute Charlie is, but Boyd says he isn't having a baby anytime soon, Janae leaves to buy a present for Charlie and Steph tells Boyd that he looked trapped Boyd says he doesn't understand the fascination with "chicks and babies". Steph tells him how great he has been and says that now she can finally understand why he did what he did with Kayla.

Hospital corridor
Karl tells Max that until they operate they don't know what they are dealing with he says Steph will have a bit more time with the baby then will be took to the operating theatre. Max asks if it has to be so soon as she is exhausted but Karl says yes, but he is sorry he can't give any guarantees.

Susan's
Susan is worried that the house hasn't been tidied but Toadie tells her they aren't here to look at that. Susan goes to get the kids but Toadie says he saw them in the General store with Katya Susan realises that she forgot Zekes birthday and hasn't even wrapped his presents. Paula Beeman the family court officer then knocks at the door and when Susan goes to introduce herself she just stops herself from saying Susan Kennedy.

Susan's
Susan is making small talk when Paula asks to see the children, Susan explains that it is Zeke's birthday and that they were having a birthday break fast and Toadie says he will go and hurry them up while Susan and Paula have a one on one.

General store
Toadie finds Katya and the kids and reprimands Katya for taking the kids without Susan's knowledge and for not checking Susan's appointment time so she could have them back on time. Katya says that it says everything that Susan put staying at the hospital with friends before coming back to be with Zeke on his birthday, Toadie says he is wasting his time and leaves.

Hospital
Steph is really tired and Max asks everyone to leave. Lynn takes them all to the general store, but Steph asks for Summer and Boyd to stay, as she wants to be with her family. Karl tells them the theatre is ready for her but Steph asks if she can give Charlie one last feed Karl says he will be back in half an hour.

Susan's
Susan is telling Paula how much the kids like being with her and how they have settled in and made friends she explains how much they have all been through and that she is their last link to Alex, she says Katya is their sister but not a suitable mother she hesitates but does not mention Katya's past and instead just says she was absent from their lives for 5 years. Paula points out that she has only known the kids for 6 months but Susan says how intense those 6 months have been plus this was what Alex wanted. Katya and Zeke enter and Susan apologise to Zeke for not being there earlier but Rachel won't accept that and says if it wasn't for Kayla Zeke would think no one cared. Susan then introduces the kids to Paula.

Hospital
Katya tells Steph how well she is taking to feeding Charlie. Karl enters to fetch Steph and she hands Charlie to Max to be winded as they wheel Steph away she grabs at Boyd and Summers hands tells Max she loves him and asks them all to take care of Charlie.
Commercials
Susan's
We flash between Paula talking to Rachel and Zeke. Rachel speaks about how well she has settled in and how Susan has been great she explains that she was only cross earlier for Zeke's sake. Zeke says how both Susan and Katya have helped him and that they both need him Rachel says she wishes Zeke would choose to stay with Susan as they are happy and its what their dad wanted, Zeke says he knows Rachel wants him to choose Susan but Katya would then be left alone Zeke just wants the four of them to stick together. Rachel wishes she could live on her own so she didn't have to choose.

Hospital
Katya asks Karl if it would have hurt for Steph to have a little more time with the baby in the circumstances, but Karl says yes it would when she needs an op to save her life Katya agrees and apologises for questioning him. Karl then wishes her well for her interview later.
Bree tells Summer hoe tough Steph is. Boyd comes over with a sandwich for Max and a chocolate for Summer but Max tells him to have the sandwich for himself and says sorry for how he was blaming him and thanks him for everything he did before asking him how university is going.

General store
Katya thanks Paula for meeting her there as her place is too small but she explains that when Alex's money comes through she will get somewhere bigger. She says she knows Susan will have said some bad and shocking things about her but she is not like that anymore and she knows the kids would be better off with her, Paula says that Susan didn't say anything bad about her but it interests her that Katya presumed she would.

Hospital
Summer thanks Bree for waiting around all day for her but says it's a shame Rachel couldn't be here as she bets she needs a friend.
Janae tells Boyd that he can talk to her he says he don't think his dad will cope if Steph doesn't make it Janae says Steph will be fine.
Karl calls Summer and Boyd in to see Steph.

Stephs room
Steph is sleeping but momentarily wakes and asks where Charlie is. Karl tells Max that the surgeons is confident that they got a good margin and are just waiting for the results from pathology then she will start radiotherapy as much as she can take for as long as she can take it but there are still no guarantees.

Commercials

Susan's
Toadie is helping Susan fold laundry and assures her that she has a good case with all her experience there is no comparison to Katya but Susan is just disappointed she has put the kids through all this.
Katya Zeke and Rachel enter and Susan talks about what is for tea, but Katya asks if she can take them out for tea when Susan agrees she sends them to get their coats and thanks Susan for not saying anything about her past but she's she is taking the kids out to tell them the truth.
When they all leave Toadie says how shocked he is that Susan didn't use what she knew against her and says that it could have cost her the kids but Susan already knows that.
